Gregorio B. Borges

Gregorio Bettencourt Borges 94 of Artesia peacefully went home with the Lord on October 20, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 7, 1927 in Altares, Terceira Azores the son of Jose Borges Goncalves and Carolina Bettencourt. He is predeceased by the love of his life of 60 years Jesuina da Trindade Cota. His 8 Gregorio is survived by his six children, son Jose Joaquim (Joe) and his wife Tammy, Rosa Maria and husband Luis Meneses, Eva Maria and husband Edward Gowett, Maria da Conceicao (Mary) and husband Frank Faria, Jesuina Maria and husband Steve Webster, Lucilia Maria and husband Kevin Kennedy, 19 grandchildren, 43 great grand-children and 2 great-great grandchildren. The viewing will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 12626 Woods Avenue, Norwalk, CA 90650. Rosary will be recited on November 3, 2021 at 10:00am immediately followed by the Funeral Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church, 18708 Clarkdale Avenue, Artesia. Interment will follow at All Souls Mortuary, 4400 Cherry Avenue, Long Beach, California.
