Judy Lee Jones

February 12, 1944 — April 19, 2020

Judy Lee Jones was born on February 12, 1944 in Los Angeles California to Mario Melchionne and Nancy Bongiorno. Her parents were both of Italian descent. Her father was an immigrant to this county which made her a first generation American. She was immensely proud of her heritage.  She was the youngest of three children. Her brothers Pete and Tony Melchionne both have preceded her in passing.  She is survived by her Husband; Jerry Jones, her children; Nancy Hill, Lisa Escobar, Ida Smith and Jeremiah Jones, Her Grandchildren; Charles (Junior), Amanda, Phillip, Tiffany, Robert, Brittany, Lauren, Jessica, Jordan and Jeremiah. She also has 5 Great grandchildren Kylee, Blake, Jacob, Mikal and Nora.

What can we say about the person who brought more love and joy into our lives then you could ever imagine?  Everything about her was unique. A compassionate soul, loving, caring, honest, forgiving, and beautiful are just a few words that her life represented.

Her love for her family was unquestionable, wanting them to succeed in life and be happy was her reason for living.

It was little things that brought her joy. From decorating her home or cooking for the family at Holiday gatherings. Making beautiful floral décor, a Halloween haunted house, decorating her Christmas tree, or listening to her favorite music. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her so much joy. Teaching them to cook, baking cookies, telling them stories, doing their hair, having a tea party, or singing them a song. Whatever she could do to make them feel special, she did.

Her time on earth touched so many hearts, we know she will never be forgotten. The memories can never be taken away.  Knowing we will be together again in heaven brings us comfort but until that time we will miss her laugh her smile and most of all her love and understanding. She is our Angel in heaven as she was here on earth.
