Lee Roy Davis, Jr.

July 18, 1935 — May 9, 2019

Lee R. Davis Jr., 83, passed peacefully in his home on Thursday, May 9th 2019. Lee was born in Natchitoches, LA., grew up in the Los Angeles area and graduated from Los Angeles High School. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1953 where he served as an electronics engineer. During his military career he traveled all around the world with his last post being at the Pentagon for four and a half years. He retired in 1976 as a Master Sargent after serving a total of twenty two and a half years.

In 1970 he met his wife, and the love of his life Carol while stationed in Kansas City, Missouri. They married in 1971. They lived almost all of their married life of 48 years in Santa Fe Springs, CA.

After working at Interstate Electronics for eighteen years, he retired in 1995. During his civilian career he graduated from Cerritos College in 1980.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother Mary Lula Hongo and two grandchildren Andie and Lee. In addition to his loving wife Carol he is survived by his seven children: Mel Davis, Mike Davis (Carmen), Lisa Postert (Louis), Theresa Parrish (Carl Jr.), Karla Pagador (Ronnie), April Mercier (Dan), and Lesa Harrison (Danny), as well as two sisters: Hazel Donato, and Mary Elouise O’con (Sonny). In addition he is survived by 19 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In his retirement he enjoyed numerous trips with his loving wife to Las Vegas as well as many trips across the country to visit family. He was clever, witty, and had a wonderful sense of humor. He was an avid reader, wine enthusiast and drove all of us crazy with his extreme organizational skills.

Lee was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He leaves us with no regrets as he believed he had a wonderful life.
