Maria was born in Altares, Tereceira, Azores, Portugal and at the age of 95 she passed away in Los Alamitos, California. Maria is survived by her children Luis Machado, Alfred Machado, Bernandette Machado-Taniguchi, Eva Gonsalves, Maria Goncalves and their families.
