Rita was born in Texas and at the age of 81 she passed away in Norwalk, California. Rita was the Matriarch of her family and she is survived by her sisters Bertha Andrews and Dorothy Simien,brothers Easter M. and Adam Simien, her granddaughter Lakeisha Simien, and many nieces and nephews.
