Shirley passed on Sunday 01/21/2024. Shirley was born in Missouri and moved with her parents to California at the age of 3 months, living in Highland Park until 1950 when the family moved to the then seemingly far away city of Norwalk, making her a lifelong resident.
Shirley attended the Little Lake School, Lake Center, then graduated from Santa Fe High School. She then attended Cerritos College, earning her AA degree in Accounting.
After college Shirley worked for Sterling Electric Motors for many years and then moved on to Pacific Condi Furniture.
Shirley enjoyed travel, making trips to many areas of the US. Some of her destinations included: Lake Tahoe, Washington DC, New York City, New England for the changing of the colors, and travel to the Midwest. She also travelled to Hawaii and took a whitewater raft down the Colorado River. Additionally she traveled to Canada visiting Vancouver and Victoria.
Shirley was also very talented with crafts. She loved to create! Making tee shirts and sweatshirts with wonderful designs, painting, knitting, and needle point. When younger she was a master with the sewing machine, making clothing for herself plus family and friends.
Shirley is survived by siblings Susan, Danny and Ronnie.
